Operations for hiatal hernia especially those modified by Nissen are the most common type of surgical interventions on esophagus. Complex multimodal anaesthezia is the key part of the fast patient recovery program (FAST-TRACK). According to the literature data and our own experience, multimodal complex anaesthezia helps improve patient’s satisfaction after laparoscopic Nissen – Rosetti fundoplication.

Comparative analysis of such data as haemodynamics, bispectral index (bis), degree of postoperational pain and time of activation after surgery in 92 patients undergoing modified Nissen-Rosetti operation with conventional endotracheal anesthesia and complex multimodal analgesia shows that 53 patients on the FAST-TRACK program demonstrated earlier activation, lower postoperational pain and shorter rehabilitation after surgery as compared to the conventional management group.
