Molecular biological predictors of myoma growth after organ -saving surgery

The study involved 80 patients with uterine fibroids (UF), including 11 patients with recurrent myoma growth and 69 after the first performed myomectomy.

The immunohistochemical studies appeared to be highly informative, allowing to clarify the nature of proliferation markers expression and receptor profile of steroid activity, which is heterogeneous, depending on the UF histological types. The study of myoma growth markers correlated with the features of morphogenetic tumor characteristics and peculiarities of its stromal-parenchymal relationships will contribute to the prediction of UF recurrence after organsaving surgery.
