Tissue engineering may become an alternative way of treatment being focused on restoration, replacement and regeneration of damaged cells, tissues and organs. One of the problems of regenerative medicine is the choice of the cellular line for a recellularization of biological or synthetic scaffolds. For a static recellularization or even a recellularization of a whole organ it is possible to use the mesenchymal multipotent stromal cells (MMSC) with the subsequent evaluation of their metabolic activity and viability. The population of MMSCs obtained from bone marrow of Macaca mulatta primates is differentiated in adipogenic, chondrogenic and osteogenetic directions and is characterized by CD73+/CD90+/CD105+/CD45–/CD34– immunophenotype that is very important for cells specificity identification and further use of cells for recellularization. Recellularization of primate’s lungs, diaphragm
and oesophagus is executed in the static way with the subsequent evaluation of cytotoxic properties of the obtained scaffolds.
