The article presents the results and clinical validation of the authors’ prognostic scale for assessing the oncological risk of thyroid nodules (TN) in children based on a combination of clinical, anamnestic, and ultrasound criteria. The scale combines a multifactorial approach, including anamnestic data, clinical symptoms, and highly informative ultrasound signs. Such an integral construction significantly increases the accuracy of risk assessment compared to the use of individual parameters. The study included patients aged 8 to 18 years, classified based on the results of clinical and morphological examination as follows: patients with benign TN (n=62) and children with thyroid cancer (n=12). The control group consisted of clinically healthy children (n=100). Intergroup statistical analysis, ROC analysis, and the scale’s internal consistency assessment were performed. The results obtained in the work showed high sensitivity and specificity of the proposed scale, which allows for primary screening of various groups of the pediatric population with thyroid pathologies.
