Lime disease is an endemic disease for the Stavropol Territory, carried by the tick Ixodes ricinus, which lives mainly in deciduous and deciduous-coniferous forests and open spaces with shrub thickets.
The objective was to study the epidemic features of ixodic tick-borne borreliosis in Stavropol for the period from 2015 to 2019.
An analysis of the data from the maps of the epidemiological survey of the infectious disease focus (form № 357/y), epizootological data was carried out. A tendency towards an increase in the number of registered cases of ixodid tick-borne borreliosis has been revealed. The presence of forests within the city creates conditions for the contact of the population with carriers of borreliosis, which is confirmed by data on the high number of infection cases (67.6 %). Both people who spend a lot of time in nature (forest, parks, etc.) and those working in the garden in the adjacent areas are at increased risk of infection. It is required to carry out preventive measures and regular epizootological examination of the city territory for tick infestation with pathogens of ixodic tick-borne borreliosis.
