According to the results of the study of cone-beam computer tomograms and plaster models of the jaws of 151 people with physiological occlusion, with a full set of permanent teeth, at the absence of signs of pathology of the maxillofacial region, morphometric parameters of the head and lower dental arches, as well as the inter-articular angle were calculated. Depending on the gnatical, dental types of the face and dental arches, dolichognacy, mesognathia, brachygnathia, which was combined with macrodontic, normontonic and microdontic were diagnosed. The author’s methods of constructing the mandibular dental and articular triangles are proposed. The established indices of the interarticular angle in patients with mesognathy, dolichognathy, and brachygnathy indicate the presence of a relationship between the gnathic type of dental arches and articular heads topography. The calculated morphometric parameters of the head and lower dental arches
make it possible to argue conclusively about the existence of a correlation between the size of the teeth and the area of the mandibular dental triangle also rendering influence and on the size of articular triangles. The information obtained is recommended for use when choosing the recipe for bracing for the treatment of occlusal disorders, taking into account the individual features of the structure of the dental arches, when setting up an individual articulator, when planning dental implantation algorithms, as well as during orthopedic treatment of patients with multiple adentia.
