The aim of the study was to comprehensively evaluate the change in the levels of autoantibodies to the S-100 protein in patients with acute and chronic pain in the lower back to determine the involvement of this protein in the pathological process within the systemic immune response to ongoing pain afferentation. High levels of antibodies to protein S-100 were revealed in pain syndrome, their dynamic evaluation was carried out, a possible pathogenetic role.
