[Reviews]
Firas Said; Ildar Akhtyamov; Alexey Kudryavtsev; Mohammad Helo;

The review is devoted to the treatment of arthrosis of the patellofemoral joint. The main directions in approaches to tendon-muscular plastic, reconstruction of articular surfaces and variants of knee arthroplasty are considered, Particular attention is given to indications and possible risks when using them. Operative methods of treatment aimed at minimizing the provoking factors of development of the pathological process, correction of biomechanical disorders in the joint and restoration of the full function, served as the basis for the formation of the algorithm in the approaches to the treatment of patellofemoral arthrosis. The authors concluded that in the treatment of osteoarthrosis of the knee in general and patellofemoral articulation, in particular, it is important to adhere to strictly individual selection of the method of treatment by age and adaptive capabilities of the patient, the etiology of the pathological process and the surgeon’s experience.
