Modern view of the brain central arteries anatomy

The article presents new information on the microsurgical anatomy of the extracerebral regions of the anteromedial and anterolateral central arteries of the human brain. The study used 116 specimens of the human brain from the cerebral arteries of middle-aged people. The main types of branching of the central arteries and features of their topography relative to the surface of the anterior perforated substance are shown. It was found that the arterial trunks are not located on the entire surface of the anterior perforated substance, but mainly in the anterior and lateral quadrants.
