The article discusses the study of the microcirculatory system of the pulp of the tooth with caries of enamel and dentin. The study was conducted on 90 permanent teeth removed for surgical reasons and orthodontic indications, in patients aged 25 to 45 years. It is established that at the initial stages of caries of the enamel and dentin nerve changes of the pulp are mainly of a hypertrophic character. In the later stages of the disease, resorptive changes predominate. Changes in pulpal vessels during caries are already observed at the first signs of the disease, manifested by hyperemia and swelling. With the progression of caries, changes in the vessels go towards increasing the permeability of the vascular wall or its densification, coarsening with the formation at the postcapilar level of additional vascular anastomoses that are devoid of the adventitial membrane.
