Dysplastic heart: is it possible to forecast myocardial electric instability?

The indices of dispersion of the QT interval in patients with mitral valve prolapse (MVP) were studied. Patients with a higher degree of MVP and the thickness of the mitral leaflets had the increased values of QT interval dispersion – a predictor of myocardial electrical instability, pathogenetically associated with sudden cardiac death (SCD) mechanisms.
