Head and neck cancer is a heterogeneous group of malignant neoplasms that develop in various anatomical areas: the nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses, oral cavity, oropharynx, laryngopharynx, larynx, nasopharynx and salivary glands. According to WHO, tumors of this localization account for about 10–12 % of all malignant neoplasms in adults. More than 90 % of them are squamous cell carcinoma originating from the epithelium of the mucous membrane. Among laryngeal tumors, sarcomas of mesenchymal origin are extremely rare (about 0.5 %). Their diagnosis is difficult due to the nonspecific symptoms and the lack of characteristic signs during imaging. There are also no standardized treatment approaches, which complicates the choice of tactics. In this regard, the development of new surgical methods is of particular importance. This paper presents an innovative method for the treatment of sarcoma of the left vocal fold, ensuring radical intervention while maintaining vocal function and airway patency, as well as improving the quality of life of patients.
