The article presents a clinical observation of sick sinus syndrome (SSS) in a 29-year-old patient. Even though these complaints had bothered the patient since the age of 14, the diagnosis of SSS was established during a transesophageal electrophysiological study. Paroxysmal AV nodal tachycardia was verified; sinus node arrests of up to 5.6 seconds were registered after the end of the paroxysm, substitution rhythm from the AV junction with HR of 11–14 beats per minute. The patient underwent a dual-chamber pacemaker (DDDR). The condition after surgical intervention is satisfactory. Manifestations of SSS are absent.
