A clinical case of a patient with a colonic diverticulum is presented. Surgical intervention was the only reliable method of definitive diagnosis. The continuation of follow-up could produce a certain risk in case of perforation or bleeding from the diverticulum and would not allow establishing the benign or malignant nature of the neoplasm
