Studies on the macromicroscopic anatomy of the posterior pole of the eyeball are becoming more in demand with the advent of modern diagnostic devices and an increase in the detection of pathology in this region. In the article presents an anatomical description of the optic nerve physiologic cup in elderly women. To achieve the goal, 34 women aged 56 to 75 years old, who underwent diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the eyeball not associated with pathology of the retina and optic nerve head, with high visual functions from 0.7 to 1.0, were studied. The study was carried out on an Optovue RTVue XR Avanti Sistem apparatus using standard ONH and 3D Disc programs. It has been established that using the method of optical coherence tomography it is possible to obtain intravital quantitative characteristics of the parameters of the optic nerve head. The average thickness of the retinal nerve fiber layer is inversely correlated with the age of the studied women. Elderly women retain individual differences in shape (triangular, trapezoid, flat, wedge-shaped) with a predominance of triangular shape.
