The paper focuses on the relationship between an indicator of cardio-respiratory synchronism, namely, the period of its development at the maximum limit of the synchronization range with the adaptation index. In 18 volunteer students (44 %), the synchronization developed faster at the maximum range limit than at the minimum one. Thus, the difference between the duration of synchronization development at the range limits was positive. Comparison of such difference in these students at the beginning of the academic year with the adaptation index at the end of the academic year revealed that the greater was the positive value difference between the synchronization development period at the range limits, the higher is the adaptation index. The obtained data enable proposing a new indicator – the adaptation forecast to optimize the students’ academic process and to improve the quality of educational system.
