The article presents clinical observation of the 68-year-old patient’s treatment results. The patient was diagnosed with widespread squamous cell carcinoma of the frontal sinuses and ethmoid bones which destroyed the bones of the skull with exposure and invasion of the dura mater. Initially, the tumor process was subjected to radiation therapy (the total focal dose of 40 Gy), followed by chemotherapy. Then the operation was performed. The bone tissue of the frontal sinuses and ethmoid bone affected by the tumor was removed, exposing the dura mater, which was growing in places by the tumor without affecting the brain tissue. After removal of the tumor process, the defect in the dura mater was sutured. The postoperative cavity was plugged. The wound was sutured with the end of the tampon removed through the nasal passage. The patient was discharged in satisfactory condition. He received chemotherapy at the place of residence. The postoperative period was uneventful. There was a relapse after 8 months. The patient refused reoperation, and additionally received 40 Gy. The tumor volume has decreased. He continued to receive chemotherapy at the place of residence, during which, according to X-ray control, the process stabilized. The patient assessed his state of health as satisfactory. Remission lasted for 13 months. Then the relapse came again after 22 months from the beginning of treatment, and lethality occurred.
