Experience of vitamin D supplementation in treating children and adolescents with primary hypertension

The article presents the results of the evaluation of the effect of correction of vitamin D insufficiency on the dynamics of arterial blood pressure in adolescents (mean age 16.0±1.2 years). Vitamin D was administered orally as a single daily dose enteral in the form of an aqueous solution of cholecalciferol for 3 months at doses of 2000–3000 IU, depending on the baseline level of 25 (OH) D in blood plasma and BMI. The positive effect of using the product is shown not only on the level of 25 (OH) D, but also on the reduction of systolic blood pressure.
