Muscle activity in patients with dysfunction of the tismatmouralmality: the role of unifferentiated connective tissue diplasion

Patients 2 groups: group 1 included 28 patients with the syndrome of pain dysfunction of TMJ and signs of NDST; group 2 consisted of 32 people with the syndrome of pain dysfunction of TMJ, with no signs of NDCT. Registration of BEA of masticatory and temporal muscles was performed by the method of global electromyography «Neuro-EMG-Micro-2» using functional samples: chewing and maximum strong-willed jaw compression. The magnitude of the amplitude wave in the 1st group decreases, and in the 2nd group increases, both during the 1 standardized masticatory cycle, and at the maximum volitional compression of the jaws. Under the influence of complex therapy, the amplitude is restored in the 1st group to 6 months, and in the 2nd group to 3 months. Complete and stable restoration of electromyographic amplitude in the 1st group occurs by the 12th month, and in the 2nd group by the 6th month of observations.The presence of connective tissue dysplasia should be taken into account in the course of medical and social expertise and the rehabilitation plan for this category of patients.
