The importance of bacteriological monitoring for the selection of therapy in different forms of pulpitis

[Abstracts]
Marina Vafiadi;

The results of bacteriological monitoring of the composition and sensitivity to antimicrobial preparations of microorganisms isolated from 155 patients with acute, chronic and exacerbation of chronic pulpitis are presented. Bacterial associations are distinguished, among which group A streptococcus and strains of Staphylococcus aureus predominate. In acute forms of the disease, strains of Streptococcus pyogenes, sensitive to beta-lactam antibiotics, predominate, chronic pathology is associated with the presence of betalactamase-producing strains of Staphylococcus aureus. The choice of antibiotic therapy tactics should be based on the knowledge of local features of the structure of microorganisms that determine the course of the pathological process in the tooth pulp.
