The article deals with a clinical observation of the patient with systemic lupus erythematosus and debuted with rare central nervous system damage – transverse myelitis. The onset of the disease with neurological symptoms, lack of adequate number of criteria for the diagnosis in the initial period of the disease have led to delayed diagnosis and
treatment of the underlying pathology.
