Diagnostic and prognostic value of detection of cytokines in the gingival fluid in chronic periodontitis

135 people with a chronic generalized periodontal disease have been examined. The increase in the level of proinflammatory interleykin of IL1β, TNFα, IL6, IL17, IL18, IL4, IL10 in gingival fluid has been established. It has been shown that progressing of a periodontal disease is followed by increase in pro-inflammatory interleykins which confirms their pathogenetic significance in processes of inflammation and remodeling of a bone tissue and can be used when monitoring the disease.
