The goal of this work is the visualization of the focus of initial excitation in sinoatrial field of the cat heart during stimulation of the peripheral end of the cut nervus vagus.
14 experiments were conducted on the hearts of anesthetized cats, placed in a high-frequency electric field. Glow zone of pacemaker was observed during selfexcitation. The shift of focus and the area of its imitation were determined by stimulation of the peripheral end of the cut nervus vagus by volleys of electrical impulses. The shift of focus and the area of its initiation was increased in comparison with the initial state, stimulation of the pacemaker was spread on the tissue of the sinoatrial field of the cat’s heart, in this case, the area of the excited tissue glow was in the form of a turned up cone. Spread process of the excitation is directed from the depths to the surface of the tissue of the sinoatrial field of the heart with a negative gradient of the intensity of the glow.
