The principles of risk group formation, the level of its survey and the main epidemiological trends of the genitourinary tuberculosis (TB) in Stavropol region in 2001–2012 were studied. The effectiveness of the complex of organizational events in medical institutions of general healthcare network was assessed. A significant increase in the incidence of urogenital TB in the main group reflected the true epidemiological situation in the region. At the same time, little destructive and nondestructive forms of urinary tract tuberculosis were also increased. This testifies to the success of mass screening and timely diagnostics of the disease.
