Renovascular hypertension often occurs in the malignant form, responds poorly to conservative therapy and leads to disability and death of the patient. Objective: to study the impact of renal hypertension on the quality of life of patients with duplication of kidneys to develop individuallyoriented approaches to the treatment and rehabilitation of these patients. The study included 143 patients with duplication of kidneys at the age of 12 to 50 years (69 men and 74 women). The analysis of QL in patients with renal hypertension showed a significant decrease in its level compared to those with no blood pressure increase on all scales of the questionnaire MOS SF-36, except for the index of role limitations due to personal or emotional problems (RE) and psycho-emotional well-being (MH). The level of reduction in quality of life was in direct correlation to the degree of hypertension. The proposed planar longitudinal resection of the ischemic area with incomplete duplication of kidneys can cure patients of hypertension and deliver them from the constant use of antihypertensive drugs, retaining a considerable part of the normal tissue and pelvicalyceal system of the upper half of the double kidney, thereby increasing quality of life of these patients.
