The review article analyzes the literature data on the use of bioresorbable materials in medical practice and in childhood traumatology, in particular. The advantages and disadvantages of the currently used bioresorbable material polylactide and its modifications (PLA, PGA, PLGA, PCL, PHB, PHBV, PHEMA), as well as current world research in the field of bioresorbable metals based on magnesium (Mg) and zinc (Zn) are considered. Comparative characteristics of physical and bioresubstantial properties of various materials are given.
