The polymorphism of a number of pro- and anti-inflammatory interleukin genes (IL-6, IL-10 and TNFα) was studied in residents of Krasnodar Region with comorbid form (CF) of arterial hypertension (AH) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) as the risk factors for the development of the studied pathologies and their early prognosis.
The study included 162 patients with multifactorial diseases aged 18 to 80 years, the residents of the Krasnodar Region, who were divided into 3 groups: group 1 – patients diagnosed with hypertension of various stages, high and very high risk (n=78); group 2 – patients with CF hypertension of various stages, high and very high risk on the background of COPD (n=62); group 3 – patients with COPD without AH (n=22).
The result of immune system genotyping, the gene polymorphisms in the population of residents of the Krasnodar Region showed that certain polymorphic variants of the above-mentioned interleukins genes can act as risk factors in the development of CF AH+COPD. These was the genotypes CG or GG -174C>G IL-6 and GA or AA -308G>A TNF. The carrying of the AA -1082G>A IL-10 genotype was a risk factor for COPD.
