An experimental study was carried out on 80 white rats, divided into 4 equal groups: in the 1st group, no therapeutic agents were used, in the 2nd, an antiseptic (polyhexanide) was used, in the 3rd, the wounds were treated with an erbium laser, and in the 4th, the laser treatment was completed with the use of polyhexanide. The results were evaluated using visual assessment of wounds, planimetry, bacteriological, cytological and morphological studies. During the observation, positive dynamics was noted in all groups, except the 1st one group, where was detected the signs of a chronic inflammatory process. The results did not differ significantly in the laser and combined treatment groups, but were slightly higher compared to the 2nd group. The use of an erbium laser in several modes contributed to the effective cleansing, decontamination and healing of experimental wounds
