In the research was to investigate the state of the vascular-capillary bed of the lower limb soft tissues in the area of damage depending on the carriage of single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the MTHFR gene at positions 677 and 1298, since these SNPs are responsible for the development of hyperhomocysteinemia. 54 cases (18 men, 36 women) with fractures of the long tubular bones of the lower limb with duration of 79 days were studied. In the present study, a pattern was established: in the zone of mechanical trauma in comparison with the intact zone of soft tissues in response to mechanical action, there are differences in the diameter and thickness of the artery and vein of small caliber, depending on the carrier of the SNP in the MTHFR gene. Morphological changes are most pronounced in the vessels of the microcirculatory bed in carriers with the CC and AA genotype, compared with carriers of the «mutant» allele in both position C677T and A1298C.
