Chronic stress causes changes in the antioxidant system enzymes activity in rat’s brain tissue, indicating an increase in oxidative reactions. Melatonin and Phenazepam (0.5 mg/kg each) similarly attenuate stress-induced shifts. With the joint introduction of substances, their antioxidant effect is markedly enhanced.
