A retrospective analysis of 480 newborns with post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus (PHH) for the period 2000–2018 was carried out. In case of PHH decompensation in 189 children with ventricular occlusion and a secondary decrease in periventricular brain density (PBD), options for coronary-translaboid subarachnoid ventriculostomy (CTSV) and ventriculo-subarachnoid stenting (VSS) were used. The inclusion of the CTSV and VSS options in the standard treatment protocol made it possible to increase the efficiency of the PHH compensation (p<0.001) due to the restoration of intracranial circulation and cerebrospinal fluid absorption with the elimination of the hypertensive decrease in PBD. Integrating of the VSS system with the peritoneal segment of the shunt expands the restore potential of shunt systems for the treatment of PHH.
