In 60 patients with allergy to weed pollen, the reactivity of basophils after stimulation with ragweed and wormwood allergens was studied. Basophils were identified by the expression of CRTH2 and CD203c. An increase in spontaneous and induced activation of basophils was revealed, which correlates with the presence of specific antibodies to the major allergens of ragweed (IgE nAmb a1) and wormwood (IgE nArt v1). The data obtained make it possible to use the basophil activation test for the diagnosis of allergic rhinitis and the choice of a drug for allergen-specific immunotherapy.
