At the work was to study the subchronical toxicity and specific pharmacological activity of the combined drug (syrup with thyme extract and Ambroxol) compared to the official drug «Pertussin». The study was performed on outbred Wistar rats with oral administration of substances at a dose of 3.8 ml/kg per day for 14 days. The equitoxicity of the test drug and the comparison drug was proved. It has been found that the administration of the test drug under experimental conditions was accompanied by a more intensive stimulation of bronchial secretion.
