[Original research] [Psychiatry]
Lyubov Fedotova; Andrey Solovyev;

The features of the speech development of pre-
school children living in the regional center, village
and rural areas of Northern European Russia are
studied. The infants and young children living in ur-
ban and township areas, had disturbances of sound
pronunciation, phonemic perception at preservation
of all the other components of speech, in the coun-
tryside – speech motor skills suffered, disturbances
of sound pronunciation, phonemic perception are
marked.
In urban preschool children a high level of deve-
lopment of all components of the speech system is
revealed; in a village group – there were deviations
of phonemic perception, articulation motility; in rural
area, in addition to disturbances of sound pronun-
ciation and phonemic perception, the defects in the
sound-syllabic structure of the word, grammatical
structure and connected speech are revealed, indi-
cating a more pronounced deviation of the speech
system. The necessity of differentiated speech the-
rapy to children of preschool age taking into account
the conditions of their residence is noted.
