The article is devoted to the evaluation of quality of
life in children with choledochal cysts. The study was
divided into two groups of patients. The first group
included children, operated by the standard method –
laparotomy, the second group – the children whose
surgery was performed with the use of laparoscopy.
It was established that the use of more sparing types
of operations has led to more significant increase
in all the parameters of life quality, and they almost
approximated to the level of healthy peers.
