Peculiarities of orthopedic treatment of patients with full absence of teeth in the lower jaw with adverse clinical conditions

The aim of the study was the development and use of a method for restoring soft tissues of a toothless prosthetic bed before orthopedic treatment of patients with complete absence of teeth on the lower jaw with unfavorable clinical conditions. 58 patients with a complete absence of teeth on the lower jaw, with a significant atrophy of the bone and soft tissues of the prosthetic bed, were prosthetized. Before the manufacture of a removable prosthesis prosthetic bed was prepared for the patients of the main group according to the method proposed by the authors. The proposed method allows to restore the mucous membrane for orthopedic treatment with complete removable dentures. Increase of mucosal compliance after the introduction of collagen occurs within 0.6–0.7 mm in one month. The number of patients with unsatisfactory degree of fixation was 41 % in the control group, in the main group it was 13.8 %.
