Evaluation of the effectiveness of pharmaco-physiotherapeutic treatment of catarrhal gingivitis on the results of the condition of mucosal immunity of oral cavity in women in the postpartum period

Based on the results of studies of antimicrobial peptides, proinflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-8, TNFα) and antiinflammatory cytokines (IL-1Rα, IL-4) in 106 women with lactating mothers in the early postpartum period with chronic generalized catarrhal gingivitis, salivary mucosal immunity of oral cavity at the stages of complex therapy were studied. It was found that the combined use of low-intensity laser irradiation with the application of the helium drug «NBF GingivalGel» contributes to a more rapid regression of the inflammatory process in the periodontium, as evidenced by the stably steady dynamics of restoration of the initially disturbed parameters of mucosal immunity of the oral cavity.
