Management of patient with mid-shaft clavicle fracture. Problem of conservative and operative treatment, possible solutions.

The purpose of our research – investigation of complications of open reduction and bone osteosynthesis using standard horizontal transclavicular access in the cases of clavicle middle third fracture, improvement of the surgical treatment results. 62 patients with surgical correction of clavicle middle third fracture through horizontal access were examined during hospital stay and in 3, 6 and 12 months after surgery.

According to our data 94% of patients had numbness in the proximal part of the chest, reaching the region of post-operative scar along the front and the front-top of the shoulder.
