Long -term results of shin bones benign tumors treatment using the transosseous osteosynthesis by Ilizarov

The article presents the long-term results of transosseous osteosynthesis by apparatus Ilizarov in orthopedic rehabilitation of 38 patients with benign tumors of shinbones. The above method demonstrated high efficiency in patients with primary tumors of shinbones and can be used in the cases of post-resection defects of various lengths in all age groups. The technology of transosseous osteosynthesis by Ilizarov was effective in 90.6 % of patients who completed treatment.
