The complex characteristics of the statins efficiency in ischemic stroke

The effectiveness of early and long-term use of statins in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke hemispheric localization was evaluated in a 24-month study. At the first stage, mortality and repeated cardiovascular events, endothelial dysfunction, lipid profile dynamics, and the safety of simvastatin were analyzed. At the second stage, a comparative analysis of the dynamics of the parameters studied was performed depending on the specific statin and duration of administration.
