Histochemical changes in periodontal tissues after a utotransplantation of teeth

Hystochemical analysis of changes in periodontal tissues of sheep at different periods after autologous transplantation of teeth were presented. At the early stages the classic signs of acute inflammation with the activation of infiltrative phenomena, secondary alteration, and improvement of metabolism in the periodontal tissues are revealed. After 3 months, autologous transplantation remains the cause of preservation of inflammation and becomes chronic, the stimulation of proliferative processes, changes in the cellular composition and metabolic activity of the cells, the appearance of foci of degeneration and necrosis. Restoration of the structure and function of periodontal tissues after autologous transplantation is possible only through the optimization of the inflammatory process with the change in the proliferative activity of cellular elements.
