Review of medical collections of Stavropol city museums

The article presents a brief description of medical collections of Stavropol museums. Materials of museum collections were studied: official records and museum objects directly. Stavropol State Museum - Reserve owns the most valuable materials on medical subjects. A museum complex of Stavropol Medical University has the vastest material. Hematology museum of the North Caucasus Federal University is unique. Materials of Stavropol basic medical college museum reveal the stages of development of nursing, and the exhibits of Stavropol Regional Psychiatric Hospital – milestones in its history. Collections of the museums complement each other. Their materials are available to researchers. Constant exposure and open access for visitors to the museums are required to popularize collections.
