Alexander V. Yagoda

Scientific research conducted under the supervision of Professor A. Yagoda (In the field of gastroenterology, cardiology, on the issue of connective tissue dysplasia) are priority areas of medical science and practice. For the first time in the Russian Federation developed and clinically validated non-invasive criteria for the activity of inflammation and fibrosis in chronic liver disease (the original patent), offered no analogues in the Russian Federation predictors of antiviral therapy for chronic hepatitis and ulcerative colitis (patents), predictors of complications and adverse outcomes of cirrhosis of the liver. The role of connective tissue dysplasia in the formation of diseases of internal organs, set up and put into practice their diagnostic algorithms (the original patent). Developed and introduced into clinical practice new independent predictors of an unfavorable course of coronary heart disease, the individual forecast models, will significantly reduce the mortality rate of patients.

Prof. A. Yagoda a member of the Committee of Experts on the Russian suggestions on "Hereditary disorders of the structure and function of connective tissue." He organized and led the Stavropol Medical University problematic research laboratory "Connective tissue dysplasia in ontogeny" (2007), organized by the Stavropol Regional Clinic specialized types of care gepatologichesky Regional Center (2009).

Scientific research of Professor A. Yagoda were reported by him and his disciples on the Russian and international scientific forums. In the past 5 years scientific reports have been made to: Russian conference "Hepatology - Today" (Moscow, 2006-2010), cardiologists and internists congresses of the Southern Federal District (Kislovodsk, 2006, Rostov-on-Don, 2007, 2010), the All- Scientific conference with international participation (St. Petersburg, 2006), National Congress of Physicians (Moscow, 2009).

Professor A. Yagoda is the author or co-author of 10 patents for inventions in the main areas of his research activities. Under the leadership of A. Yagoda 41 protected thesis, including 5 - for the degree of Doctor of Medicine and 36 - the candidate of medical sciences. He is the author or co-author of 8 books, editor of 35 scientific journals. Professor A. Berry published over 600 works, including 36 - in foreign editions.

Over the past 5 years, he has published 201 scientific and methodical work, 5 books, 4 textbooks, and received four patents for inventions and utility models. He has supervised three doctoral and 14 master's theses.

Professor A. Yagoda a member of the Russian and international scientific societies, the chairman of the Stavropol Regional Society of Physicians, the chief editor of scientific journal " MEDICAL NEWS OF NORTH CAUCASUS," the chairman of the Dissertation Council of the Stavropol State Medical University.
