Vladimir A. Baturin

Professor V. A. Baturin works in public health practice for 34 years, a clinical pharmacologist of the highest qualification category, the chief clinical pharmacologist of Stavropol Territory.

Professor V. Baturin is the author of over 350 scientific papers, 7 monographs, 10 methodical recommendations for physicians. V. Baturin is the co-author of two textbooks and 8 tutorials on Clinical Pharmacology, National Formulary of Formular Committee of Russia. In the framework of the national project "Health" published a teaching manual for physicians' standard approach to drug therapy of infectious diseases of the respiratory and urinary tracts. Under the guidance of Professor V. Baturin defended 7 doctoral and 36 master's theses. Professor V. Baturin is a member of the Dissertation Council of the Volgograd State Medical University.

Professor V. Baturin led the scientific school known original research in Russia and abroad. The main research areas are:

  • Clinical chronopharmakology;
  • Clinical pharmacology of antibacterial agents;
  • pharmacoeconomics and pharmacoepidemiology;
  • evaluation of the pharmacological effect of variability due to gender and ethnicity;
  • Applied Pharmacokinetics.

Professor V. Baturin is the chairman of the regional branch of the Interregional Public Organization of pharmacoeconomic studies, a member of the Formulary Committee of Medical Sciences, a member of the Committee on the Problem of Clinical Pharmacology Health Ministry.

V. Baturin is member of the editorial board of journals: "The problem of standardization in health care" (Moscow), co-editor of the journal "Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacoeconomics" (Moscow), the deputy editor of the journal “Medical News of North Caucasus” (Stavropol).

V. Baturin regularly participates in regional, national and international conferences. V. Baturin is the winner of the Young Communist League Baikal region, was awarded the Diploma of the Minister of Health of the Stavropol Territory, is an honorary professor of the Stavropol State University.

In 2003, the American Biographical Institute included prof.V. Baturin among the "top 500 in science."

In 2000, Professor V. Baturin was organized by the "Centre of Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy," which is a scientific clinical and laboratory facilities of the Stavropol State Medical University. For the development and introduction of unique, highly effective methods of diagnosis of infectious agents and drug allergy "Center" has awards "Moscow International Salon of Innovations and Investments".
